THE boasts a professional and experienced R&D technical team. They are graduated of food science institutions and have worked in renowned food companies, engaging in product development and application, production, and quality management of beverages, meat products, health supplements, dairy products, etc. With professional theoretical knowledge and practical experience serving as a continuous source of support, THE’s powerful R&D team ensures that it remains at the forefront of the industry and maintains a sustained state of collective progress.
Mr. Zhang Zheqi graduated from Lanzhou University (founded in 1909) with a Master’s degree in Nutrition and Food Hygiene. Upon graduation, he directly joined the “China Meat Research Center”, a national-level scientific research institution, where he served as a key member of research teams and participated in more than ten national and provincial-level scientific research projects. These projects included special projects under the National Key Research and Development Programs during the 13th and 14th Five-Year Plans, major consultancy projects of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and consultancy research projects of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
Mr. Zhang has published over fifty academic papers, among which twelve have been indexed by SCI, twenty-two by EI, and the rest in Chinese core journals. He has authored twelve papers as the first author, including six SCI-indexed papers, four EI-indexed papers, and two in core journals. In addition, he has co-authored the monograph Theories and Techniques of Traditional Chinese Meat Product Processing and has applied for five invention patents and one utility model patent, with two of them already granted authorization.
Mr. Zhong Guangyue possesses nearly 20 years of experience in food product research and development, quality control, and the construction of high-end beverage production lines. He has continuously deepened his expertise in the liquid concentrate and solid beverage industries, mastering high-quality formulas and advanced production techniques for various beverage products.
Starting from scratch, Mr. Zhong independently led the preparation and construction of a beverage production base. He personally participated in and oversaw the entire process, including selection of production equipment, formulation of production plans, raw material management, production quality control, and product quality improvement. Additionally, he was responsible for production management after the completion of the production line, achieving an exceptional record of zero production accidents and zero product complaints for over a decade. Furthermore, he successfully obtained a utility model patent for his contributions.
Mr. Sun Honglei graduated from Jiangnan University (originating from Sanjiang Normal College established in 1902) with a Master’s degree in Food Engineering. Jiangnan University is a key university directly under the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, ranked among the national “Double First-Class” universities, “211 Project” universities, and “985 Project Advantageous Disciplines Innovation Platform” universities. Its “Food Science and Engineering” discipline has consecutively ranked first globally for five years.
During his university years, Mr. Sun majored in Advanced Nutrition, Separation Technology, and Food Physics, and has long been dedicated to research on drug detection methods. He is proficient in using high-end detection equipment such as DART-MS, GC-MS, LC-MS, and scanning electron microscopy. His research achievement, “A Method for Rapid Determination of Diazepam Residues in Fish Based on QuEChERS Combined with Direct Analysis in Real-Time Mass Spectrometry,” has successfully obtained a patent certificate.
Mr. Yan Zhiwei holds a Master’s degree in International Management from Swansea University, UK. With over ten years of experience in import-export trade, he is proficient in end-to-end international trade operations and excels at handling complex business scenarios and cross-functional coordination, earning a reputation for professionalism and reliability in the industry.
He has managed overseas projects in Zambia, India, Pakistan and other countries, developing a deep understanding of diverse market environments, cultural differences and business practices, and accumulating substantial multinational project experience.
Currently, he leads the company’s core export business, covering a wide range of products including bulk chemicals, specialty chemicals, food additives, feed additives and other categories, playing a key role in supporting the company’s overseas market expansion.
Mr. Wang Kasai holds a Master’s degree in International Economy and Trade from Beihang University. He completed his basic education at the Lycée Français de Pékin and the International School of Pakistan in Beijing, becoming fluent in Chinese, English and French, with exceptional cross-cultural communication skills.
He has extensive experience in cross-border operations, multilingual content creation and overseas social media promotion, having successfully enhanced the international presence of several Chinese brands.
With experience in participating in international conferences and business negotiations, he has represented his company at international exhibitions in Beijing, Inner Mongolia and other regions, demonstrate outstanding cross-disciplinary collaboration and relationship expansion and maintenance capabilities.
Mr. Fu Guoyong holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Nanjing Tech University, with thirty years of experience in biopharmaceuticals, chemical engineering, and supply chain management. He previously served as Asia-Pacific Strategic Sourcing Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific, overseeing supply chain development, supplier management, and multinational OEM project transfers, accumulating extensive resources in biologics procurement and outsourcing. Later, as Supply Chain Director at Firestone Creation Technology, he led the supply chain ecosystem development for a pharmaceutical B2B platform and facilitated multiple industry collaboration and investment projects.
Mr. Fu holds professional certifications including ISO Internal Auditor and 6 Sigma Green Belt. With an international perspective and cross-cultural negotiation skills, he currently focuses on food ingredient market strategy and supply chain integration, providing support for product commercialization and international cooperation. He is a versatile professional with both technical expertise and management experience.
Mr. Chen Ran earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Applied Chemistry and Polymer Chemistry from Northeast Forestry University, establishing a solid professional foundation in polymer materials.
For over seven years, he has focused on the research, development and industrialization of high-performance materials including polyimide. Having served as R&D Supervisor at the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences and related enterprises, he has led the entire process from laboratory research to pilot production for multiple new material products.
He holds qualifications including National Chemical Inspector Level III and Polymer Chemical Engineer certifications, with several patents and published papers, demonstrating versatile expertise spanning technical R&D and market applications.
Mr. Zou Chong graduated from Wuhan Polytechnic University (established in 1951), obtained a Master’s degree in Food Science and Engineering. During his university years, he participated in compiling books such as “Rice Bran Processing Technology,” and published a paper titled “Source Analysis and Preventive Measures of Phthalate Esters in Edible Oils,” which won the first China Association for Science and Technology Excellent Paper Award. Additionally, his research on the deep processing and utilization of camellia seed oil was approved and registered by the Science and Technology Department of Anhui Province, and his research on the deep processing and utilization of rice bran has obtained multiple invention patents.
After graduation, Mr. Zou joined COFCO (founded in 1949, a Fortune Global 500 company, ranking among the top three international grain traders). As the first employee in the R&D department of China Oil and Grain Holdings Limited under COFCO, he led the formulation of departmental responsibilities, work plans, annual budgets, performance indicators, and other documents, and collaborated with COFCO’s R&D management department to manage R&D projects in more than 80 factories across 6 BUs. During this period, he successfully collaborated with Jiangnan University to apply for the “13th Five-Year” National Key R&D Project and participated in the research work as a sub-project member.
Max Wang holds a Master’s in Chemistry from the University of Glasgow and brings years of practical business and trade expertise.
He has demonstrated outstanding professionalism in foreign trade. Previously with China National Medicines Foreign Trade Corporation, he managed global operations and played a key role in WHO international tender projects. Proficient in end-to-end process management—from market research and supplier selection to business negotiation, contract execution, and logistics—he also excels in market analysis and promotional strategy development. Additionally, he is skilled in high-level business reception, having successfully hosted major client meetings worldwide.

Jonny Huang
Jonny Huang holds a Master’s in International HRM from London Metropolitan University and has over ten years of cross-sector HR and administrative experience in chemicals, environmental tech, aerospace, defense, and real estate. He has served in key roles including HR and Administration Head at Essence (Beijing) Chemical, General Department Manager at Beijing Core Innovation Space, and HR and Administration Manager at Huayuan Property Tianjin. Jonny excels in building HR systems from scratch, optimizing recruitment, ensuring compliance, and leading key projects such as “Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative” enterprise accreditation and high-tech enterprise certification, demonstrating strong strategic and integration capabilities.
Paco Zhu holds an MBA from Beijing Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s in Finance from Qiqihar University. He has systematic knowledge in strategic management, HR, marketing, financial analysis, and operations, with proficiency in corporate regulations and management systems. With over ten years of senior management experience in medium-sized manufacturing and import-export firms—including roles as Finance Manager, Operations Director, and Assistant to GM—he is well-versed in import-export processes across chemical, coal, and steel sectors. He excels in team development, risk management, and resource integration, with hands-on skills in SAP and U8 systems.
Luke Lu-Yang holds a master’s in Food Processing and Safety and brings years of experience in food R&D and quality control. He has led multiple biotechnology projects with notable outcomes in enzyme engineering and functional food development. Proficient in operating advanced lab equipment including gas chromatographs and SDS-PAGE systems, Luke actively contributes as a core R&D team member, focusing on boosting product competitiveness through innovation. Outside work, he enjoys sports and music, maintaining a proactive professional attitude.
Carlos Zhang specializes in international trade and market expansion. He earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Linguistics (Translation and Cross-cultural Communication) and History of Stage Arts in Russian-speaking regions from Ural Federal University. His multilingual proficiency in English and Russian enables seamless navigation in multicultural business environments.
With substantial experience in end-to-end foreign trade operations at Changsha Redline Trading, he also led the setup of an overseas subsidiary. As a regional manager at Zoomlion, he drove market development, exhibition planning, and government procurement across Russia, Belarus, and Eastern/Northern Europe, contributing significantly to brand localization and channel development.
Carlos excels at integrating cross-cultural resources and leveraging deep market insights to efficiently scale international business from zero to one.
Charles Wu holds a Master’s in Food Science and Engineering from Nanjing University of Finance and Economics, with a focus on food and beverage R&D. His professional background includes roles at China Resources Testing and Certification Group, where he handled product development, sales, and technical support, and led projects in plant protein, compound tea, and soybean oil testing. Skilled in project management and teamwork—and a past awardee in the “Internet+” Innovation Competition—Charles is a quick learner and reliable technical expert.
