Introduction
Potassium Sorbate (Spherical), the potassium salt of sorbic acid, is a highly effective and safe food preservative recommended by FAO and WHO. This white spherical powder is odorless or slightly odorous, easily soluble in water and ethanol. It’s rapidly metabolized into carbon dioxide and water in human body with no residual accumulation, exhibiting only half the toxicity of table salt and one-fourth that of sodium benzoate, while providing 7 times stronger preservative effect.
